About to finish my CNA certification and wondering how the job market is out there. I really want to work in a hospital to get patient experience, and get out of retail. I have no previous medical experience, but am starting nursing school in Jan. Thanks

I worked for Methodist Hospital as a patient care tech. After a month they asked me to resign because "I wasnt schooled properly." I explained to them that I was a CNA and went to CNA school NOT PCT school. They didnt care. Basically, even though the qualifications are the same for the job they expect you to know phlebotomy too. Don't be shocked if you don't get hired or after you get the job they expect you to know a lot more.
Wow, and they didnt even mention that in the interview? I noticed that methodist wants phlebotomy on their jobs website. Thanks for the info.
