The areas you listed are north, south, east and west of Atlanta proper. Each area has hospitals and the average pay for nurses with 5 or more years experiece is about $30-$34/hour. In Alpharetta there is Norht Fulton (Tenet), in McDonough there is Henry Medical, Lithonia has Hillandale which is the baby hospital of Dekalb Medical in Decatur and Marietta has Wellstar Health System which has 5 hospitals throughout Cobb and Douglas county. Good luck, hopes this helps.

The average hourly rate for nurses in Atlanta is $30-$34/hr? Where? It's more like $25-$30/hour.
yeah thats what I wonder where at , what hospitals are paying $30-34 in Atlanta
I have worked at all of the hospitals that I listed except North Fulton. I have worked at South Fulton on contract and my salaries at all of the places were anywhere from $32 and higher. I have lived in Atlanta for 10 years and I have never made less than $30 an hour. I am moving out of state and I left my last position with one of the mentioned hospitals and my base was $33.58/hour plus diffs. Good luck.
Edu, are you talking about a full-time position with benefits? You mentioned contract..........
Yes, FT with benefits. The only contract I did was at South Fulton ($34/hour). The contract is usually offered at this time of year for holiday staffing. I'm kinda surprised to hear the lower pay quotes for the Atlanta are for RNs with experience.
Well it's certainly not impossible. However I am surprised to hear that staff nurses are making average 62- 70K in Atlanta, base pay but that's not enough to get me back to the hospital. I would love to hear other Georgia nurses chime in.
Good luck purple.
