Hello everyone!
I am currently finishing up my prereq's for entrance into my school's ADN program. I have just come back to school in the last year after taking a two year hiatus to start a family, and I am struggling to find a balance between family, work and school. I did decently well in my classes this last quarter, but found myself struggling to find enough time to study, spend time with the kids, go to work 4 days a week and still take care of myself (No sleep some nights, forgetting to eat). I am only taking one class the next few quarters, because I am down to my last five classes needed and really want to excel in A&P, but I am concerned with staying on top of the program once I am admitted. I have no doubt of my passion to do well, and luckily have a very supportive husband and family to help with kids, but need to work on my time management skills to make it all work. To those nursing students with work and family, what are some of the things that have helped you succeed? How do you schedule your day so that you have enough time to study for your classes, and also feel like you are not abandoning your family at the same time? Any advice would be greatly appreciated TIA!
