Any advice on getting a job in california???

:uhoh3: Hi, can anyone give me any advice on the best way to get a job nursing in california. I have spoken to a couple a agencys but the ones that are actually being helpful and returning my calls dont recruite for that area. can anyone recommend anyone they have had dealings with???? Also i have heard the job is quite different in the states does anyone have any experiences of working in the US who could enliten me ??? :uhoh3:

OGP has a very poor track record with being available once the nurse gets over here for any problems. They also promise areas or regions of the US where they have not had any contracts.

If the hospital is paying a fee to the agency, then that money would have been available to you. If you are paying for your own NCLEX, etc. then do your own legwork and get self-hired. OPP also completes only one step at a time, where you can submit everything at once. Almost every nurse that I know of who has signed on with OGP for a certain area, has had to go some place else.

Why risk it?

For some reason, and I don't know why, there seems to be more problems with the agencies out of the UK for some reason.
