How much came back out of the patient? If very little, and if you know you were in the muscle, it likely just hurt a tiny bit more going in.

Incidentally, this is the reason pre-filled syringes often come with a little bubble in them. Position the syringe so that the bubble will go in last, and the bubble will keep the med/vaccine in.

Hi I gave IM injections in deltoid yesterday and didn't hold skin taut. How bad is it if I didn't do so??
