I feel like there is a cloud of anxiety following many students during clinical.
Do you guys do anything to reduce anxiety? e.g. talk to your patient in a funny accent

well, i don't think talking in a funny voice would help the patient feel like I am a confident professional.
I simply understand that I am the nurse(even as a student they are the nurse...in a manner of speaking) and I introduce myself, ask if I can listen to their heart/lungs, make small talk, any questions, give meds, done.

anxiety=completely normal.
The more you practice, the more confident you will become. In a year from now you'll look back and see how much you've grown and learned.
Hang in there. It gets better.
All the best,
