I'm not sure what you mean by 'case study'. Do you mean invent a patientt and situation so that you can plan interventions and care?

Like this...?

Patient X (Marie Smith) is a sixteen year old high school student with a diagnosis of generalized anxiety disorder who has been a patient of X facility for the last two weeks for treatment of an exacerbation of her disorder following the death of her grandmother last month. She was diagnosed at age 7. Her symptoms present as X, Y & Z (e.g. catastophrising about death --> producing difficulty breathing, fatigue, insomnia, muscle pain, nausea etc). As Marie's nurse today, what interventions will you provide to attempt to minimise Marie's distress?"

Not really this type, I mean patient is 28 year old, male and very famous singer. but he is afraid to sing in public. he states, " I am so afraid of embarrassing myself in public. My face gets so red and i start to perspire. then the words just won't come out."the nurse interprets these statements as possibly indicating what type of anxiety disorder?.........answer is social phobia. this looks simple but hard to make.

if somebody know...Please send me information...Please

Thanks.

I suggest you look up the list of symptoms of each disorder, then make up a person and situation and apply them.

E.g. Nurse has interuptted 20 year old Marsha washing her hands four times today. Marsha gets distressed to the point of hyperventilation when asked to stop washing her hands. Marsha's hands are dry, calloused and red." Diagnosis = OCD.

A case study is merely a nursing care plan in an essay form. What you need to do is take the information that you were provided about the patient and use the nursing process to identify the patient's nursing problems and then strategies to do something for those nursing problems. There used to be examples of nursing case studies on the Internet, but they have been removed. You start by giving information about the patient's problem. You discuss the symptoms that are evidence of the problem and the science behind it. You next identify the nursing problems that this patient will have. You identify goals and nursing interventions for these problems. You explain how you would put this plan into action and what you would expect to see happening when you evaluate the plan at a later date.

I think this might be helpful.

Thanks friends.
