What has your research shown? Have you looked up any anticholinergenic drugs to see what the general guidelines are aside from allergy to the drug?

When anticholinergic meds are contraindicated?

When embarking on long treks in the desert or planning on lengthy sauna stays ;)

Sorry.. but this looks like homework to me. What's the MoA of anticholinergic medications? Would any of the effects/side effects be a risk in any of the conditions you mentioned?

I'm looking at the poll result. Are all gastrointestinal disorders created equal? Would we treat constipation the same way as diarrhea and painful bowel cramps? Might anticholinergics be useful in one instance but not the other?

How does tachycardia affect oxygen demand of a certain muscle? Are there any physiological circumstances when this effect might be detrimental?

Which effect does anticholinergic (i.e. inhibiting the parasympathetic nervous system) medications have on bronchi and bronchial secretions? Is this good or bad in airway/pulmonary disease?

Too bad anticholinergenics are used in GI conditions such as IBS, motility disorders, so therefore not contraindicated in all GI disorders
