I to have only been a nurse for a year. I am an LPN and I started working in a nursing home Jan.3 2006. I am almost finished with school and come may and after I pass NCLEX I willfinally be an Rn!!! The past year for me has been hard. At first, and most of the year, I really didnt like my job, but for some reason I didnt look for another. I Never felt like a Nurse there( just the pill lady) until Last month. I had my first code and I completely amazed myself. After it was over, I went over and over in my head what I had done. I actually knew what to do!! Come May I will be leaving that nursing home and hopefully going to critical care( what I have always wanted to do, love it in clinicals) I hope I surprise myself again once I am finished with school and actually know something. Congratulations to all the others who have made it a year, this was the fastest year of my life, filled with many eye-openers!
