I just finished my third and final TEAS test which was 84.1%. I flunked my 1st two times-missing them by 2.5 points on the science part.
Question is: Do they use the total scores of all the test attempts and average them out or do the first two tests not even count since I failed them???
Good luck to all the soon-to-be-nurses who start next week! You will do fine. It can be frustrating at first and you will wonder what the hell have I gotten myself into, want to kill your teacher and a few patients along with way- but you will always remember it and smile.
I have been an LPN for 18 years and going for the transitional program that starts in May. I have everyhting crossed that I will get in to one of the three Ivy techs that I have applied to.

I was told that they don't combine. They take the highest score, which for you would be the most recent, right? I think I did hear that if any of the 4 portions were failed, none of it counted.
I applied at Indy today and they only take the reading from the highest test. I thought that they would use all the three results and average them out.........but that was incorrect.( IE: if I had an 84, 81 and a 91 and then get an average of those total scores)
(Thankgod)!
So I only had to give her my last TEAS result which was 84.1% :)
You are correct in that if you fail even 1 portion of the TEAS test that you can't apply; even if its only by 1%!

I am attending IVY TECH Valpo. Here they only use one TEAS test score. I got an 84.2% and am applying for the fall semester starting in August.
So you had just what you needed! Congrats. Let us know how it goes.

Congrats on passing your third TEAS. I only took it twice d/t running out of time. I too am a LPN applying for the transitional program to start this May. I really want in the Muncie program, but I am also applying at the Kokomo and Indy campuses. Do you know how many the Indy takes? Where else did you apply? I got one B, and I think that may make my chances not as good to get in, but I am keeping my fingers crossed!
Good Luck:up:
Hi,
Indy takes 40-60 transitional students; Columbus takes 40-60 and Blomington takes 20.
I got 3-A's and 1-B on my co-req's and an 84.1% on my final TEAS.
I applied to Indy but was really not impressed with the staff there. It was a very cold attitude!
My problem with the TEAS that I went too fast and got both 1st and 2nd attempts done in 2 hours. I took a deep breath that last time and watched the time and used all my alloted time yet finished all the questions and then went back and rechecked them. The math took the longest!
As long as you can get an 80 or above on your TEAS, you will be fine. My friend gotin ast year at Bloomington with 2 -B's, 2-A's and an 81% on her TEAS.
A word of advice, get your TEAS done and apply ASAP. The deadline is Feb 1st and if they need more infomation or something is missing, it will give you time to get it for them.
Good luck!!!:yelclap:
