I know, I ask a lot of questions. :) Sorry. But why are some PN programs 2 years long and others are 1 year long? Just curious. Thanks!

I attended a private, 1-year vocational nursing program that was full-time (30 to 40 hours weekly). The same school offered a part-time weekend program that was 2 years long.
Many community colleges offer LPN/LVN programs that are anywhere from 1.5 to 2 years long because the typical public junior college is not going to have students attend school 30-40 hours weekly.

It also depends upon how the school year runs.
My four semester course was completed in 13.5 months because PN students went year round with only two weeks off at the end of semester one and three and one week off at the end of semester two. No long break for summer like the RN programmes offered locally.
