Another New Nurse with a probable silly question...

Published

I am a new grad, and have passed my boards. I need help with follow up on an interview at a GP Office. At the beginning of the month, I had an interview and it went really well. I really want this position :) A week later, I got a call to schedule a second interview. This also went really well. I would be a great fit for this not only because of the nursing but I have a business degree and worked as an office manager for a few years before changing career paths. They really seemed to agree and at the second interview, they were pointing out strengths that I have.

Anyway short story long...this is a new position for the office and I was told they would make a decision by the end of the month. I made 1 follow up call last week to thank them for the interview and let them know I would be more than happy to answer any further questions that they had. She seemed glad that I called and said she would tell the team and that they would be letting all candidates know either way as soon as a decision was made...

I am so anxious and I have other things on my plate, per diem, daycare consulting that are waiting because this would be a full time position...

I need to know...When can I call again?

I would wait at least 2 weeks from your last call. The wait can be unsettling but remember, filling this position is not the only thing going on the day to day business of the practice.

Thanks,

I'm just really nervous to start this part of my life and cant wait!

Good luck!

If they said you should know by the end of the month, then I would wait until after the end of the month. So I wouldn't call until next week, at the earliest.
