Annoyances

I thought this was too precious to not pass on:

"Where God wants me to be......"

I happened to call a man on business that I didn't know and have not, nor will ever, talk to again. But this day, he felt like talking. He was head of security of a company that had invited the remaining members of a company who had been decimated by the attack on the Twin Towers to share their office space. With his voice full of awe he told me stories of why these people were alive and their counterparts were dead and all the stories were just little things.

As you might know, the head of one company got in late that day because his son started kindergarten. Another fellow was alive because it was his turn to bring donuts. There were other stories that I hope and pray will someday be gathered and put in a book. The one that struck me was the man who put on a new pair of shoes that morning, took the various means to get to work but before he got there, he developed a blister on his foot. He stopped at a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid. That is why he is

alive today.

Now when I am stuck in traffic, miss an elevator, turn back to

answer a ringing telephone ... all the little things that annoy me ... I think to myself, this is exactly where God wants me to be at this very moment.

May God continue to bless us with all those annoying things.

No offense bagladyrn. I think a lot of us that have any introspection have thought of that at least once if not a thousand times. I also don;t think it negates the beauty of what audreyfay was sharing. For me I do believe that those that are spared in any tragedy were spared for a reason. We may never know that reason. I don't believe it is a bad thing for those who died though the way they died was certainly a tragedy. Those who died weren't (in my mind ) victems of an angry God but rather precious children that he took when the devils(or evil men) took things into their own hands. I saw a picture on the net right after 9-11. It was the towers in flames and falling, souls of all the people were there in the air, and the clouds above had opened Gods hands were open and a message flashed that said" welcome home my beautiful children , We are together and you are well blessed." It was very hard to read at the time but it is the image that has stayed with me. Hope this helps somehow.

Thanks RNFROG3. Tragedies are always hard to understand. I agree with the thought about ...."when the devils (or evil men) took things in their own hands"..... Thanks for sharing. My hubby is well versed with comforting words. I just listen.
