in order to streamline the threads on this topic, i ask that everyone that passes their nursing assistant certification test to please post it in this thread as oppose to starting a separate one. i appreciate everyone's help with this.
:redlight: congratulations to all the cna's out there! :redlight:
thank you,
jay
I took my test on Nov 17th and just found out I passed on Wednesday!!! I'm SOO stoked!! :yeah:I had to do urinary output, an occupied bed, put on a ted sock, cath care, and of course handwashing. I was kind of a nervous wreck the whole time, but I passed!!! WHOOO!! I want to work at a nursing home near my house for a while, and then at a hospital...not sure which one yet. Happy happy happy...
Well, Guys... I took this course to see if I would like the small touch of the nursing experience and I am not comformed with just getting my CNA Certification. I will be persueing my ASN and have recently been added to the CNA List for the State of Illinois! WOO HOO!!!!!
FUTURE CRNA here !! yay yeah!

congrats to all of you who have become cna's!!! it is hard but rewarding work, all your residents, or patients really will appreciate it!
i have been a cna since 2002. i have worked in geriatric settings, but i prefer to work with those of my own age group. so i mainly work with tbi's, quad or paraplegics, those with demyelinative diseases, and hemiplegics. once you find your nitch it will all fall in place for you.
it is a very noble job, don't let anyone make you feel bad about it. you bring a great deal to the health profession!
just please please, don't learn to cut corners! so many good cna's go wrong that way! the best care is complete care!
