Just passed yesterday, phew! I was fine for the written, but was a nervous wreck for the skills - I thought for sure I failed and was shocked when she told me I passed!

Starting a job at a hospital in a couple of weeks, so I'll be getting nervous soon all over again!

Took my written yesterday and my skills today, feeling pretty good about both but now I get to wait for the state...YAY Utah! LOL!! Skipped a CNA meeting at work today to go and get my skills done, think they will mind?

Just an update, just got the letter that I passed my written with a 96, still waiting for the results of the skills, but I took a cancellation appointment 70 miles away from where I lived so that I wouldnt' have to wait another 2 weeks for my original appointment. Hopefully early next week I will know. But for now, off to work at the LTC for another exciting day as a CNA!:yeah:

I passed my exam today!!! :)

Specializes in Nursing Assistant.

Just took my written and skills test yesterday. I was very nervous and stressed out over the skills test and it turned out the written test was so much harder than I anticipated. I always got 97% on tests in the classroom and on the practice online tests....went in very confident. To my surprise, there were a lot of questions I just did not know the answer to. So I'm prayin I passed! Some said their test was easy, others felt as I did. I know there are a few didn't versions of the test.....I wasn't the lucky one to get the easier version. As for the skills, I barely got all 5 done in my 35 minutes. I was running at the end! Got occupied bed, bed bath, mouth care - brushing teeth, transfer w/c to bed and of course handwashing. I'm pretty confident I didn't miss many steps...if any. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed until I get the news!:uhoh3:

I passed! I cried after because I was sure that I forgot a step somewhere but I did it! I had feeding/intake, TED hose, positioning on side, and ambulating with a walker. It feels good to have some initials after my name now :)

First post on allnurses.com and I passed my CNA exam today! Skills consisted of : wash hands, radial pulse measurement, mouth care, range of motion for the knee/ankle, and assist to ambulate.

I'm super excited ! I passed my written and clinical exam today! :)

my skills were:

change position on the left side

Measuring and Recording contents of Urinary Drainage Bag

Providing Perineal Care for Incontinent Female

Woot Woot! I passed my CNA test Aug. 31st, 2010. Along with handwashing, I had measuring respirations, ambulating a patient, Leg ROM, and pericare for a female.

I was about to return to a 3rd shift part-time CNA position, but was just offered a scheduling job for a home health care agency. Not only do I get to sleep the same hours as most humans, I will also get some studying time while I answer phones at a front desk.

-D

Passed mine today- one less thing to stress over! It's also my first official "certification" ever!
