CCAC Spring 2011
Hello Jason and Amy my fellow AP1 Summer troops, boy was that a crazy experience! Congrats Jason for getting through the hurdles! I was going to send you an email to see if it was you on this board but no need for that now. For those still looking for CPR classes, I googled and found this online: CPR for Healthcare provider's only $40 CPR/First Aid Class Schedule Good luck!

CCAC Spring 2011
kg0730 - I haven't applied to the Pitt program yet, my application will be complete by the end of December once I take the GRE. I also still have to take Genetics and repeat some Chemistry courses (since I took them 10 years ago). My undergraduate and prerequisite grades are competitive so I am confident that I *should* get into Pitt. I think in my particular case since I haven't applied to Pitt yet, I want to give that application a chance and have CCAC as a back up for Fall 2011. (assuming they would let me defer my spot - and if they don't, I should be accepted into Fall 2011 if I am forced to reapply since I got accepted for Spring right?) I believe in a previous post you said they already accepted you? What is the deadline for you to respond back to Pitt? I think your decision should be based on your own situation financially. Are you able to not work while going through the 3 semesters at Pitt? How soon do you want to have your BSN? If you went to Pitt, you would have your BSN over and done with at the end of Summer 2012. What else are you confused about? I can't think of anything else to look at but will post more if I think of any. :)

CCAC Spring 2011
kaykay07 you're right! I forgot Spring was only for Alleghany and Boyce :) Yes the Boyce letter states: " Attendance to this session is Mandatory. There will be no other registration session. At this session, you will receive your Spring 2011 Registration Form for your Nursing classes - lecture, labs, and clinicals - along with other important information. Registration will be done using a "lottery" system...Since there are only a limited number of seats for each option, you should select several options that may be conductive with your other obligations.....etc etc" And if one doesn't show up on that November 22 date, the spot may be taken from someone on the waiting list unless the Boyce campus is contacted ahead of time. Even if excused and you can't make it on November 22, looks like your name will be placed on the bottom of the list to take whatever session is left.

CCAC Spring 2011
Boyce group registration is November 22. Sessions will be determined via a "lottery" system. kmoty01 and Jasoninpa - good luck with your appeals! Was curious if folks from the North/South campuses heard anything? Hadn't seen any postings from that group.

CCAC Spring 2011
Congratulations to those who have been accepted and to those still waiting, be patient I am sure the letters are on the way! I got my acceptance letter for Boyce today. :) I am happy but I still leaning towards applying for the accelerated bsn program at Pitt for Fall 2011. I wonder if CCAC will let me defer my seat until Fall while I figure out what I want to do.

CCAC Spring 2011
Thank you to those who have called to find out the status of the letters and updating us on the board! I too am waiting to hear back. I applied to the Boyce Fast Track and Alleghany Day. I may still apply to Pitt's Accelerated BSN since I have another degree but the cost for CCAC can't be beat. kg0730 - If you don't mind me asking, did you apply for the Pitt Spring 2011 start, how quickly did they get back to you? Good luck to us all!
