Hi there, I was just wondering if anyone has heard of the Annenberg School of Nursing. It is located in Reseda, Ca. If so, I would appreciate any info on the program. Thanks!

I called the Jewish Home for the Aging and spoke to the program director. The last class started there in September 2008. There is a $30 placement test. The cost is about $17,000, most of which is forgiven if you work for the home for a year. Good luck!

As a former graduate from the Annenberg school of nursing LVN program who is friends with previous and current students, the main theory instructor (an LVN) finds it fun to belittle the students and his whole idea of lecturing on topics is reading pre made power-points created from the textbooks for hours. He has no idea how to lecture and actually teach. If you question something or feel something he says is incorrect he will find a way to avert answering and instead get mad at you.
The clinical locations nurses dislike this instructor as well when he is acting as a clinical instructor in the hospital. They constantly say he is mean or rude and lacks communication skills.
The school constantly changes there policies in order to kick students out who were actually passing the class according to the policies and procedures book given on admission because they felt they may hurt there possible NCLEX scores.
If I had know I would have easily avoided Annenberg, the only plus is that it was cheaper. But I only found out well into the program it was cheaper for a reason.
It is a poorly run school with teachers that have no real knowledge!
