ANMC (Australia) registration from overseas July 2010 onwards

Hi,

I am set to qualify at the end of July from a university in the UK and had been planning to apply for my registration in TAS where no experience is needed.

I now see that registration will be taken over by ANMC from about that time and there is a document which indicates experience may be a required.

I have sent them an e-mail to try and clarify it but there has been no response so far.

Does anyone know anything more about this?

There are many changes going on with Australia and probably many overseas nurses will be affected. I would suggest you keep an eye on what is happening. The process does take a while anyway so you could be gaining experience whilst waiting
