Homesickness! Due to last weeks ice storm, our kids have only been in school for 3 days in the last month. We returned Tuesday and there has been quite the run on the clinic. Stomach aches, head aches, don't feel good. Nothing that 10 minutes of rest, an ice pack and a coloring book won't cure.:nurse:

Sixteen weeks until school is out :yeah:

yup yup yup...stomachache and headaches are very popular!!

why don't i think of colouring books?! what a great idea!

Oh, I love my coloring books. My common cure for vague complaints like stomach ache or headache is "Here, drink some of my special cold water, then go to the bathroom and see if you can push out some poop. when you get done, you can color in my Hello Kitty book." Most of the time that *sentence* will bring about an amazing recovery. I let them sit with me about 10 min(while I observe), then send them on their way with "the pretty picture you colored for Mom." :yeah: I'm telling you, it works like a charm! And the kids who really can't get interested? They can lay on the cot for 20 min until they either throw up or spike the fever that they're surely gonna have. You know how it goes.
