I am preparing for FNP exam with ANCC. The reason I've chosen ANCC because I am planning to do postgraduate Pshyc NP in the future and they offer this too. However, I got very anxious when I started preparing for exam when I found out that they have so much (bio)statistical information in the test. I went through example questions on ANCC site and I found those questions very difficult. Are they the same format on the exam? So difficult?! I have answered correctly only half of them and that was before I started preparation and learning process. I am preparing with Boardvitals.com, Liek book + FNP Mastery. What else I should consider or what strategies I should learn on taking exam? Is it worth to buy ANCC exam taking strategies packet? I really hate statistics in medicine, I think it is a waste of time for the future NP, but I need to comply and I am very worried if I will pass the exam. I have already scheduled my exam and I don't have time to apply for AANP certification and I already paid a lot of money to ANCC. Anyone who had the same experience, please respond. Help me relieve my fears because I cannot afford to fail, I have too little children and I am already 50 and full of debt... Please advise.

Moved to the student NP forum. Best wishes

Don't worry :) Just do your very best and that's all you can do. If you do not pass this round, it's no biggie: Not the end of the world. Can take it again as well as the AANP. I actually took the AANP partly because of the reason you mentioned. The AANP was fair: all clinical though. You've made it this far! Major kudos. Good luck and deep breaths ;)
