ANCC board review-Hollier or Fitzgerald?

Updated:   Published

Planning on taking the ANCC for FNP June 2020 and looking into review courses. Debating between APEA (Hollier) and Fitzgerald live review. Who would you recommend for ANCC content? Also, when should I plan on taking the course if I plan on taking boards toward the end of June? Any help or additional advice is appreciated!

Thank you so much,

Carrie

Leik, especially if you're taking ANCC

Did you do a Leik review course? Or just Leik book and app questions?

I did not want to fail my first time so I did everything--the review course and the book and app. Questions every day. I also did Hollier, which had a lot of great things as well. I appreciated both but I think Leik is hands down the Big Kahuna.

Great! Thank you! I am in same boat-do not want to fail! Would you say Leik was enough? Or should I also do Hollier review? Looking at both. Also, how soon before taking exam would you recommend taking live review course?

I did the Hollier review. Was very informative and I had some of the questions she reviewed on the ANCC exam.

Leik is very good and I also learned some strategies/information from Hollier that stuck with me better than Leik's but I would say Hollier is a less intense information-wise (but still good).

I studied solid for a month and then took the exam. It depends on how long you want to wait. I prefer the "get it over and done with" approach
