I live in Tennessee. Does anyone know how in depth the skeletal system is? ie..do we have to learn all the bones or just certain ones? also what would you suggest studying to get a heads up on Anatomy?:nurse:

Thanks, that helped alot!

Hey, I live in Tn and start May 4th as well ... where are you going to school? I too am trying to get a jump start on things as I am older and very nervous. I have been trying to learn the bones and major muscles as well as the systems.

I am going to be attending TTC Union City, How about you. Where are you going?

tnlpn8, I attend TTC Nashville and our class did not go as in depth as a university A&P class which is why you have to retake the class if you go on to get your RN. Our program is very intense though because of how fast the class moves. Plan on at least one or two test a day, sometimes three. Good luck to you. Just stay focused, study, stay out of gossip, study some more, have a positive attitude, and study, study, study, and when you are tired, study some more.

I am going to TTC Lexington. Good luck!

WOW! one to 2 sometimes 3 tests a day.??? Are you for real? On the same subject matter or different? Do they instruct you on something and then test that same day? I am truly scared now!

Yes, I am very serious. I have never had a test on the same day of a lecture. It's usually the next day but they do quiz on the same day of a lecture. Sometimes the quiz is before the lecture. That's why it's important to read, read, read.

Thank you for your imput... I guess I better find a way I do not have to work. I am trying not to totally freak out and ask for my money back before I even start

Not sure if you're still checking this thread, but you might want to get a book that you can read before you start class...I suggest Cliff notes or Complete Idiot's Guide to A&P...it will give you some insight and help you stay ahead of the game. I think you're doing great! Most people would wait until class started to worry about it. You're getting a head start and that's great! Good Luck!
