Anatomy & Physiology

Published

Hi everyone! I am writing on here because I'm just overwhelmed with everything. I'm not a nursing student, but I am a current health science student that is taking anatomy & physiology with nursing students as well. I took this class my freshman year of college and withdrew from the class because I was failing it & I didn't want the grade "F" to be on my transcript. I changed my major another 7 times and I came back to it again. My major is nice, but this class is making it extremely hard for me to concentrate, memorize, and understand the material that's given in class.

This course is worth 4 credit hours (3 credit hours for lecture and 1 credit hour for lab). Our lecture class mainly focuses on the physiology aspect while lab focuses more on the anatomy section. We have lecture exams every 4 weeks & then we have lab exams every 2 weeks as well. Because of this, lecture & lab exams make up 70% of our grade (50% is lecture exams & 20% is lab exams) and it's stressing me out a lot. I'm a slow learner so I understand things at a slower pace than my peers & I have to work twice as hard as everyone else. I have my second lab exam coming up this Thursday and it's over the integumentary system, the skeletal system, and spinal cords and nerves & my mind is having a hard time staying focused and I haven't been able to study or grasp the information.

I'm so lost and I have no idea what to do, I'm also scared because I'm currently at a D+ in this class, so if I fail this exam, it'll drop my grade to an F. Since I'm taking 5 classes, I'm already at 12 credit hours as a full-time student, so if withdraw from A&P, it'll put me at 8 credit hours which is being a part-time student.

I hope you all can give me advice because I really need it!
