I'm studying at the ivy tech campus.
Ok.. There are sooo many people getting A's in Anatomy and Physiology... But I just can't seem to get an A. I've taken Anatomy and Physiology 1 two times already and I still get B's no matter what. So please help me! I'll be taking anatomy and physiology 2 again this summer semester and I need tips. How many hours a day do you spend studying? What material do you primarily study: your notes, book..etc.. Can you tell me how you got an A? Could you maybe email over the study material you had to work with? Can you tell me what your average day was like. Thanks for the help.
If you have any study material can you send it here:[email protected]

Take a tape recorder to class. Listen to your instructor over and over. Take good notes, then take notes from your notes. Make flashcards out of those. Look at your teacher's objectives--good clue to what you will be getting on the exams. If the teacher assigns homework, look over those and make notes on them.
For labs, copy the lab assignments before you fill them in. Then you can test yourself on them, and write the words over and over--the repetition will help you remember them.
Ask the instructor what she thinks is most important-if you let her know it is difficult for you to determine this, she may assist you by pointing out what to study.
We were told to study 2 hours for every 1 hour of class. Review your flashcards when you're at the laundromat, waiting for an appointment, at a stop sign, everywhere you can.
Good luck

Definitely get a tape recorder. You can listen to the lecture over and over again as you do the dishes or clean the house. Flashcards are also very helpful. I enjoyed watching videos on youtube about whatever topic I was learning at the time just for reinforcement. I didn't spend a set number of hours per day studying because I was very busy with a new baby and work, but if you keep your tape recorder and flashcards in your purse at all times, it's easier to sneak a few minutes here and there.
I also liked to talk to myself while I took a shower. lol I know it sounds silly, but I was just explaining to myself in my own words what I had just learned. It made it easier to really understand the concept.
Good luck!!!

Show up prepared. Lecture should be review not new material. The old adage "Repetition is the mother of skill" has never been more true.
Your brain needs time to imprint the material and store it. Create neural connections. Read over the material making sure to cover the important areas. Then goto sleep that night and as your drifting off to sleep. Run through those key words in your head. Relax. Give yourself 8 hours off and then approach the material again. Your brain is like a muscle. You must exercise it to keep learning but you can't try to goto the gym and do 500 reps of learning and expect it to stick. If you get ahead a week or two in class. Lecture will be reassuring. Every class will seem like a review session. Then come test time you will have a large base of material in your head and can focus on the finer points that need work.
