I would recommend speaking to your adviser about this. My friend and I are both in separate nursing programs. In hers, anything below a B- in any of the science prereqs means that you are likely to be waitlisted, so her adviser told her to consider retaking A&P 1. In contrast, my program takes Cs in the sciences with no problem as long as your overall program GPA is high enough.
As others have said, it depends on your school. If the program is very competitive then retaking it is your best option. It never hurts to contact your adviser. I got an A in API and a C+ in APII. I will be retaking it in the summer. The higher your gpa the better your chances of getting in and reaching your goals.

Last semester I completed Anatomy and Physiology 1 with a final grade of 78 (C+, so close to a B!) And now I'm enrolled in Anatomy and Physiology 2 this semester. I feel like I'm doing pretty well so far, we just had our first test last week and I feel pretty good about it. However, I am a little discouraged about my A+P 1 grade. Is my A+P 1 grade not a good one for getting accepted to nursing programs? My goal is to earn my BSN, and I would also like to eventually earn an MSN one day too. Should I retake the course, or would that not be worth it? Any help or advice is greatly appreciated, thank you.
