Hi everyone;
Did anyone ever use the Human Anatomy coloring book? Which one did you use? Did it help with your studying. Thanks so much!

I have the one from Kapit and Elson. I used it a little, but personally I didn't find it particularly helpful. I think it depends on what kind of learner you are, though. I found it more helpful to have a blank picture of whatever I was studying and to try to name everything. I also found it helpful to spend time in lab with the models, taking them apart and putting them back together and reviewing them with other students. But I know a lot of people have found the coloring books to be helpful. I would go to your local bookstore to take a look at what they have and flip through them. The one nice thing about the coloring book I have is that it also contains a lot of text, which might help re-explain things you have covered in class/readings. Repetition is always helpful!

I used one that was recommended by my A&P instructor and to be honest with you, I don't remember which one it was. I didn't use it for everything, but I did use it often. I found it helpful for learning where things where (such as cell structure, skin layer, etc.) because I not only was a reading things but I was 'doing' as I was coloring. Models aren't always available for study at home (usually never!) and I found the coloring book helpful. And who doesn't like to color!?! It's just like being a kid again!
