An Israeli nurse wants to emigrate

World Immigration

Published

Hello everyone. First time on the site .. very pleasant! I am a registered nurse with a BSN degree and work in a hospital in Israel. I wanted to know if there are any countries that accept the certification Of Israel and there is a possibility of immigration on the basis of covetousness and professional training? Even temporarily and not permanent migration. Thanks in advance ?

As with anybody wanting to emigrate and work as a nurse anywhere, your first port of call is the nursing registration board in the place you want to go to,  so for example the NMC for the UK, the  NMBI (formerly An Bord Altanais) for Ireland, the Ordre Infirmier National for France etc. They will all have websites.

You'd probably be best off narrowing down a couple of countries that interest you and investigate the options rather than starting off with an "I'll go anywhere that'll have me" approach. You must be more interested in certain parts of the world than others?

I did work with an Israeli trained nurse in London the 90s. She had to undergo a short period of supervision before being given her UK registration. I stress this information is about 25 years old!! However, I would be prepared for some possible short supervisory period. Note that if you find an EU country that  accepts your registration, in theory that is valid and transferrable to any other EU member state.

Good luck!

I do not have an answer, but we did work with several Israeli nurses who would come and work with us half a year and then go home, then returning again the following year.Very nice to work with them.
