Amiodarone

Hi everyone!

I want to try and understand Amiodarone better. To my understanding this is a drug used to treat fast HR, ex a. Fib. My question is, before you administer, do you check the BP? Doesn't this drug drop the BP? PO? IV?

I do check BP before giving amio and usually the intensativist will hold it if the bp is too low.
