I'm getting ready to start the RN to BSN program at Post university in April and I am wondering if anyone has recently gone to this school? I have seen older reviews from a few years ago. I am enrolled in the SIMPath. Any advice or revIews welcomed! TIA

Did you end up starting the SIMpath program through Post/ American Sentinel? I'm looking into this option and also haven't found any recent reviews. How much of the program is writing papers? The information I've found online makes it seem like it's not all papers but a combo of powerpoint, online modules, video presentation, papers, etc. It sounds too good to be true! Also, approximately how long did it take you to do a class? TIA
No, I pushed back my start date to this month due to work and my son graduating. I will be starting in a couple weeks. Yes, the term-based is 8 week terms, mostly discussion posts and papers, it's structured and has due dates; while the SIMPath is work at your own pace, 16 weeks, each class has a certain number of assignments to complete and you have a choice on whether to write a paper, power point, or whatever requirement to prove you mastered the material. I also liked this school because I won't have to complete any in person clinicals, but I have what they call practical experiences that are virtual. I would recommend that you call and speak with someone to get your questions answered and information about the program. I feel that is a better way for my to get my RN to BSN. I wish you luck in your journey!
Thank you for your response. I was able to find a FB group with people who have done the program recently/ are currently enrolled. It was just hard to find any discussion regarding this program. Everything ended up being about Capella or WGU. Best wishes to you as well!

How was it? Can u please let me know your experience? How long did it take you to complete ?
I am currently attending and about to finish my 3rd and 4th classes (started Oct 21) and enroll in 2 more. It's work at your pace. Not hard and I am trying to do 1-2 assignments each week. Each class has modules with readings and resources for the assignments and 4 assignments. Follow the rubrics for your assignments and you'll do fine. I work full time so I do school work on my 3 days off.

Thank you for the prompt reply! Is it true that you have option to do powerpoint ,essay or video? Is there any clinicals that are required to complete the program?
You're welcome,
Yes, unless they specify how they want the assignment. There are no in person clinicals, they have 3 practical experiences that are a total of 90 hours. I have not started those yet but plan to add my first in a few weeks.
It wasn't bad. I will say that I am highly motivated to get it done in 2 semesters. The modules and readings go pretty quickly and then there are usually 4 assignments per class. I did about 2 assignments per week. I work 20 hours a week and have 3 young kids. I was able to complete 5 classes within the semester (finished a couple weeks early). You can usually pick what format you want to do your assignment in, occasionally there will be one that has to be a powerpoint or have a voice thread. If you do a powerpoint, you still have to submit a script for the presentation with your sources (which I found to be essentially writing a paper). I have only done one of the practical experience classes so far, and I just had to have a mentor with a BSN that I discussed my project with throughout the course.
