American nurses first

The US economy is getting worse according to news reports and it will get worse before it gets better. This is a grim time and nursing jobs are not immune to the downturn. Jobs for American nurses first is the logical scenario, and only fair. This should open the eyes of Pinoy nurses, especially the new graduates who have naive ambitions of making it to the USA right after graduation. The job market is probably close to nonexistent, and the Retrogression will add to this situation. The problem is compounded by still many Pinoy students being pushed or rushing to take up nursing with nowhere to go afterward, filling the Philippines with jobless nurses who are a burden to the economy. Too many nurses, not enough jobs in the Philippines.

For all who refuse to open their eyes to reality, it is time to STOP.
