I am a psych nurse in Mississippi who works for a state hospital at this time. I'm considering local agency nursing; I am applying with American Mobile Healthcare and Prime Care. Does anyone have any experience with either of these agencies? Can you give any pros and cons? Thank you!

I personally would check out the delphi forums travel clubs. If you need a link let me know. Like other agencies I have heard good and bad but never have worked for them firsthand.

I work for American Mobile and on my first assignment. so far I have no gripes. Friendly interested recruiter. Ask for leonard. good pay and subsidy. do go to delphi they do help.

i have been traveling since 1997 and used them a lot

they have a huge variety of assignments - competitive pay rates - if anyone else is offering more ask them to match it = free private housing which is nice(don't let them tell you you have to pay a subsidy - just tell them you will go with another agency otherwise) - - sometimes the first set of furniture you get might be kind of a joke (child size or horribly uncomfortable) - try it all out as soon as you arrive and if any of it is unliveable just call them and they will ask the company to trade it for something nicer - they are flexible and willing to do a little extra to make you happy
