I'm not sure where to get this info, so I'm turning to you....

I'm getting my RN in the United States and am seriously considering moving to Israel and was wondering how reciprocity works. Can anyone help? I know there is some way...there is no need to go back to school again...but how?

Probably need to see if they have some sort of nurse governing body and sort it out with them, will also more than likely need a work visa/permit. This link may give you some ideas http://www.gov.il/FirstGov/TopNavEng/EngSituations/ESMigrantWorkersGuide/ESMWGComing/

Your best bet for straight info is contact the folks at Nefesh B'nefesh. http://www.nbn.org.il/nbn_corp/contact.htm

Here's their online info for nurses: http://www.nbn.co.il/site/kb/questions/240/Nurses

I would post this to General discussions in hope of getting more response.

Hello! I searched this site hoping to find some info about American nurses moving to Israel. I came across this thread and while this info was posted awhile ago, I thought I'd try and reach out and see if there are any American nurses (or nurses from other countries) currently living in Israel (and working as a nurse) who could share their experience about moving.

I've heard mixed things - is the nursing licensing exam only in Hebrew or is it offered in English as well?

Will my BSN directly transfer or do I need more classes/credits?

What actually is the salary in Israel? If I move I plan to move to Tel Aviv...does anyone know the salary of a nurse working in Ichilov or Wolfson or a private clinic?

I think that is all I have for now. I figured the more research I can do before I finish school and make Aliyah, the easier it might be (might being the operative word, haha!). Thank you!
