2015 Amelie Hollier CDs- Could I still use these to study for my boards in 2020?

Published

Hi all!

So question! I am planning on taking my boards next year, and I have started studying already about 20-50 question a day from Leik/ Fitz. My gf gave me her Hollier CDs from 2015 to listen to. Should I listen to them? I know some guidelines may be outdated but I definitely cannot afford the more recent CDs she put out. Advice? I have listened to a couple while driving to clinical sites just to see what the hype is about and they are truly amazing but I am skeptical if I am wasting my time. I appreciate everyones advice!

Thanks!

The core content and diseases she covers doesn't change. Just skip the past treatment guidelines and download the JNC 8 blood pressure guidelines and memorize them and the diabetic treatment guidelines. Good luck.

Thanks so much!! definitely a relief that I can use the CDs I have! I assumed the JNC and DM guidelines would be different! I appreciate your help!

I actually had the 2018 version and then 2019 came out right after, they were kind enough to exchange it for me but I did notice a few differences in the content and some additional content was included based on changes made to the exams I guess. I would recommend using the Leik book as well. Hollier gives a good way to remember the basics but Leik gives you everything else you need to pass ? good luck!
