This is going to sound ridiculous but I am applying for a position in an ambulatory surgery center and they want to know what area I am interested in? Honestly I do not even know what areas there are in a surgery center. It is a brand new facility so they are hiring all staff and I just need some information so that I can figure out where I want to be. I am thinking either pre-op or post-op...I do not have any interest in being in the actual OR.
Thanks for your time

Is it too late to answer? Anyway as you thought, pre-op and post-op are fine answers. You might reference your nursing experience as "I worked a lot of surgical floor nursing I am comfortable with post op patients, post op teaching." Or, "I am good at starting IV's I would be comfortable working pre-op." And even stress that you are fine floating to both areas.
