Hi all! I recently passed the Ambulatory Care Certifcation Exam and proud to sport my new letters AMB-BC at the end of my name! ? I do have the Core Curriculum for Ambulatory Care Nursing, 4th Edition, 2019 as well as Ambulatory Care Nursing Review Questions, 5th Edition that I used for studying which were super helpful!! Best of luck to anyone studying for the exam!

Congrats! What helped you the most when studying? The Core Curriculum is just so massive and impossible to read cover to cover? Did you find the test questions similar to the nursing review questions? Thanks in advance.

I just constantly kept doing the questions in the workbook until I answered them all correctly. It was helpful to highlight the information in the text book where the correct answers were found. I passed the exam and felt confident in my studies.

I recently passed the certification exam and purchased the core curriculum book, review questions, and the review course from AAACN. I took the review questions cold to test my knowledge. Then I did the review course (printed out the slides and took notes along with the presentation) and took the sample test on the ANCC site where you register for the exam. I then took the review questions from the book again after that and brushed up by reading the sections in the core curriculum where I needed to focus my study.

Wondering about what the best resources are for me.... I want to become a certified ambulatory nurse. 

 

I don't have alot of money....  If money were an issue what would you choose as your top 2 resources?

You will definitely need at the very least the textbook and workbook. I borrowed the textbook and review course slides and printouts from a coworker and purchased the workbook.

I can't thank you enough for replying to me! I'm going to pick your brain just a bit further if I may.. Is there a book/workbook that you recommend over another,or is one just about as good as the another?
