Recently a ceasefire resolution at American Medical Association was shut down after it was deemed irrelevant.
More than 11000 civilians, including over 5000 children and over 200 healthcare workers have died in this conflict.
You can take the following action to stop the carnage:
This is the phone number of AMA +1 (800) 262-3211 Call and press 2. Someone will answer your call. Tell them you want to comment on why was the ceasefire resolution struck down. They will ask you for your name and email address. They will send you an email to which you can reply with your concerns. A sample email could contain the following points: A ceasefire is necessary because over 11000 people are dead including over 5000 children and over 200 healthcare workers. The lack of drinking water, sanitation, nutrition and destruction of healthcare facilities poses an imminent Public Health threat.

Unfortunately this will not change anything, Israel will occupy the entire Gaza Strip and the world will not prevent them from doing so, this is how they will acquire more land for habitation. After all, this is exactly what has been happening for many years now, and Europe is facing another wave of migration of millions of people, because no Arab countries will accept the Palestinians.

While I support the end to violence in the Gaza Stip as well as in the Ukraine, Russia , China and several African Nations. I fail to see how any of these entities will do anything in response to what a bunch of American (A country they universally despise) physicians think about anything. If American healthcare workers and physicians really want to help they would join organizations like DWB (Doctors without Borders). This is American Hubris at best. It's way for people to feel good without doing anyhing at all.

Dear Hppy,
I agree that being on the ground is the highest level of empathy, though, not the only one.
There was such a mission present on the ground in Egypt, ready to serve. First, the border crossing was not open, When the crossing opened and the physicians pushed to go, they were promptly arrested by the Egyptian allies of Israel. Go figure.
