You need some leadership experience and committee involvement at work. Current volunteer experience is good.
if you have opportunity to go to OR frequently make sure you try to get shadow experience as many as you can. Get your CCRN/CSC/trauma or transplant certification.
Your chances really depends on the state you live in and how competitive the schools you are looking at. You can’t change your Old GPA. Only thing you can do is make yourself the perfect candidate now.

Hello there fellow aspiring CRNAs!
I am currently in the process of applying to school and am having some doubts about the strength of my application and if there's anything else I can add to future apps. My first degree was in Biology and I dealt with some personal issues my senior year which tanked my GPA, my cum was 2.83 for that degree while being a student athlete on the vball team.
I went to an Accelerated BSN and got a 3.5 GPA and was president of my student nurses association. I currently work in a Surgical Trauma/Transplant ICU at a level 1 trauma center, I do CRRT in the ICU and in the OR for transplant cases. I retook chem and stats and got As in both and am signed up for a grad level pharm in the Spring. Is there anything else I can do to help negate my GPA from back when I was stupid and young and going through it.
Any input would be appreciated ?
