I have recently graduated from a Bachelors program in something completely different than nursing (Spanish interpretation). I have completed my pre-req with an A in A&P 1 and 2, a B in Developmental Psych, an A in Stats, and a C in Micro. I graduated with a 3.29 and am looking to apply to a program that had an average GPA of 3.3 last year. It is Bon Secours College of Nursing. I had a rough time my freshman year and got a D in my Biology 152 class and had to retake it twice. I got all As and Bs after that as I did not know what I wanted to do when I first got to college and started as a Bio major. Basically do you think my chances are dead after getting 2 Ds in my Biology 152 class? I am very worried. Please help!!
The courses you got Ds in, are they the pre-reqs for your nursing program? If not, then you should not worry about it, since most schools only look at your pre-req GPA. However, if those courses ARE pre-reqs, then you have to retake them, if the school will except them.
