Hey! I'm going back to school NEXT WEEK :no:to start taking pre-reqs to pursue an RN degree...I have been a dental assistant for 13 years, so little out of the school loop...I'm also a single parent of a 6 month old baby (parents live in town, I can go there if I need them to watch him) ..
My worry is; I'm taking Psychology 101, Biology 101 & Chemistry 101....is that do-able?? Do other people take that many credits? That way, I will have (2) A & P's, another Psych & a Microbiology left ,..I already have the English 101 & am challenging the Math 96...
Am I crazy?? Give my your fav websites, etc... to go to for Chem help ( the one I'm worried about, have never taken it)
Thanks!!!

No you're not crazy but I feel your pain. I am a mother of 3 boys, ranging in the ages of 3 months to 7 years. I just started my RN program 3 weeks ago. I had been on the waiting list for 2 1/2 years. I am taking Nur 101, 6 credits; Anatomy & Physiology, 3 credits, plux a math, pharmocology and nutrition; all equaling to 15 credits too. I believe it can be done hopefully with time management and giving up a clean house. I am married, but because of his job, he is rarely home. Dinners have been fast, and unfortunately unhealthy, but if I can get through this semester, I feel I can do anything. I also had my first Nursing 101 test today. It was hard but I feel pretty good about it. I got up at 5 am to restudy, since it is the only quiet time in the house. Good luck with you, and remember, the best things in life don't come easy!
