Lol, she's my study buddy..we started this Nursing journey together. She mentioned you in our convo today. Wishing you all the best!!!

Oh wow! The internet never siezes to amaze me. Hope i can join you guyz soon.

Hey Y'all!! I've been following AllNurses for a while now, and I've decided to post because I've found some posts to be so helpful in this journey. I got accepted to ACC Fall 2018 ADN as well. I am super excited! I can't pretend to know what schools base their acceptance on, but my stats are as follows: I have a prior bachelor's degree in History. I will be 40 this summer (I have worried about age discrimination hahaha) I had all of my prerequisites done except Micro (I just finished in May 2018). I have A's in all of my classes except I have a C in English 1301 from 20 years ago. I made a 94 on HESI overall. All sections were 96 and above except grammar was 88. I do not currently have work experience in the medical field, but I have done the same job for 20+ years. I don't know if this will help anyone, but I hope it eases somone's mind. I look forward to meeting my classmates this fall! Good luck to all that are still waiting on acceptance. I definitely understand the struggle...

So if I am interpreting what you're saying correctly, I should take all prereqs (biol2401, biol2402, pysch2301, engl1301) in addition to (psych 2314 Lifespan and growth, biol2420 microbiology, and creative arts or language, philosophy, or arts) before applying?

Just finished first semester. Pretty much what you said. I applied for the Fall 2017 semester a while back and was denied despite Karen sending me an email with a breakdown showing the average applicant and where I stood. Academics-wise (I'm not bragging I swear!!) I was pretty ahead of the average applicant stats, so paint me surprised when I denied. Karen basically explained that since the deadline is before grades are submitted then they don't count in progress classes. So anyone with in-progress classes basically look like they have done less credits/work even if the classes have already wrapped up. Which really flipping sucks because then you have to wait essentially 8 months to even apply again if you got denied. Which based on this system, you can't just phase from one semester to another.

Although I say this and I did meet one person who did not have everything. But she was one person I knew of and she just needed to take Lifespan over the summer.

If you got denied due to in-progress classes, just be patient. I was super pissed off and I got in later and enjoy the program.

Thank you. I have a bachelors degree so I have some required prerequisites. I have to take biol2401, biol2402, lifespan and growth, and microbiology. I also have to take the HESI which I'm terrified of. I'll be taking lifespan and ap 1 this summer. Ap2 in fall. And microbiology in spring 2019. I guess I can apply for spring 2020 :/ lol

Has there been a Facebook group created for those accepted for the Fall 2018 semester?
