Alvarado hospital pay

I recently got a job offer at Alvarado hospital in San Diego, which I accepted of course, but was surprised with the low pay. I have 1 year experience at skilled nursing so I am not sure if they are considering me a new grad. I will receive 8 weeks of training, which I am thrilled about.

Will they increase the pay once I have 6 months there? Or this is it?

Alvarado is 30

Scripps and sharp I think around 35

Ucsd 40

Specializes in Oncology.

I don't know the hospital you work but here is my experience vs my peer who graduated with me.

Me: licensed both PN and RN with zero nursing experience

My friend: licensed both PN and RN with 5 years LPN experience

We got a job at the same hospital but differenthe unit.

We got offered with the same base salary.

Therefore, her experience as LPN in a skilled nurse facility doesn't count. I guess it depends on your facility.
