I got my letter in the mail last week, and I got bad News! I didnt get in the program, they put me on the alternate list. My question is what do you think my chances are me being the 5th alternate? They accepted 24 students this year instead of 21 out of the top 40.
I applied at 2 other schools but I really wanted to attend this program because its right down the street and I know some of the people that will be going there Fall 2010. The other 2 are 15miles and 45miles away, Im so determine right now and the distance really isnt no big deal(It would be nice to go to school in town).

what your chances are depends very much on your particular program. Some schools have an alternate list of 30 students and most years the majority of them make it in. Though it's not a guarantee see what statistics you can find on your particular school and go from there.
Good luck to you! I know how you feel as I'm an alternate for my school as well.

At our nursing info meeting this subject came up and they told us to not even ask. They said that if they have an opening they will call, and it could be as late as the day before the program begins. They wont tell you where you stand in line for the alt list.
I got accepted!!!!!!!!!!!
