Alta Bates RN rates?

Hi,

I am considering applying for a RN position at Alta Bates Berkeley. Wondering what the RN hourly rates are like. I have about 3 years telemetry experience under my belt and am thinking of trying the ICU or CVICU at the Berkeley campus. Trying to end my commute to the city, be closer to home, and thinking about having a baby which is why I am considering the move-I just worry about the rates. Any info would be helpful.

Rates depends on the agency's contract with the facility and the agency's desired profit margin. Each agency rates are different depending on the contract they were able to negotiate. I know you didn't ask, but since the original question mention the nurse's years of experience, I wanted to mention that a nurse's years of experience does not usually play into the rate.

Unless this is a first time contract the agency has gained with the facility and has an outstanding, well experienced traveler. But once the rate is established, and a contact with the facility is signed, then every nurse get the same rate, or let me say they "should".
