Has anyone worked for Alberta Health Services (AHS) in any capacity (ex. RN, LPN, HCA, Admin Assistant, Executive/leadership roles, etc.)? If so, could you please share what your experience was like? For example, what was the interview, hiring, onboarding and training process like? How long did you work for AHS? What did you like and dislike about them as a health authority/employer?

Until recently, I had been applying to non-nursing roles at AHS (because I am 100% done with bedside) and the process has been extremely concerning (ex. unprofessional communications, HR contacts making mistakes, disorganized management, inability or reluctance to confirm salary/wage, etc.). I am wondering if I am an outlier, or if others have had poor experiences with AHS too? Anyways, I have recently stopped pursuing any employment with AHS because of my negative experiences. I would appreciate any feedback anyone is willing to share ?. Many thank yous in advance to anyone who takes the time to read this and respond!

I work for AHS in Human Resources. I haven't had poor experiences yet in my 3 years. What bad experiences have you had?
