I worked two years SICU, now in a cath lab for a year (moved with my wife and the schedule and hours was perfect for me), year of floor nursing to start out. I am from Albany and will be returning back for the program
edit: I applied officially in August but was missing some forms from my application. The program was incredibly helpful and nice about helping me get my completed documents in.
My interview went well. The only thing that I can really speak of that was challenging was the exam prior to the interview. It's more of a CCRN questionnaire. If you have your CCRN and review/study before the cam you should be ok. The interviewees were fantastic and really sold the program for me. They were professional and honest and really hit home that they look out for the students and want everyone to succeed, not like some programs who want your money and are cut-throat. I heard back within two weeks of my interview. I wish you luck!
Lol we actually didn't talk but I peiced it together from the introductions we gave. You probably wouldn't remember me lol. But who knows, we may see each other this time next year! Fingers crossed! I only applied to Columbia and Albany and have interviews at both. I don't feel too great about my Columbia interview so I'm hoping Albany works out!
Albany was much different than the Columbia interview. They interviewed us one by one in their own private offices, not in a panel setting. It was extremely laid back, no intimidating questions or interviewers who were stone-cold in appearance. You will do fine. I am still curious as to who you are though! Where were you sitting??

Just wondering who else has interviewed for Albany Med's program for 2017. I received a spot in the program and am hoping to touch base with some fellow future students.
