Hey Ya'll,

I've been a lurker to this board for a while and just decided to join.....what the heck! Anyway, I just wondered how many of you (like myself) are waiting on an acceptance letter from Calhoun. That is if one come! :0( Do any of you know a timeframe for the letters? And what about it you don't get in....do they let you know?

Good luck!

my boyfriend went to the doctor yesterday. and he and the nurse got to talking...the nurse said he went to calhoun and the other girl there also went to calhoun. they said don't expect anything until mid JULY or even early AUGUST?!? :uhoh21:

I got my letter today, I didn't get in. The points cutoff was 153.

I got my letter today!

Congrats!! I knew I was on the fence, but I'm still upset. I'm going to apply for the Spring at Wallace State since it's not due until Sept 1.

Congrats momof3!!!

I also got mine...but I'm the only one here right now...and so I'm waiting on my family and my wonderful supportive boyfriend to get here before open it....they need to hurry because I'm going crazy.

VSBlonde, i'm so so sorry! :( GOOD LUCK on the Wallace State! Let us know how it turns out. :) Best Wishes!!

Okay, so I have to admit I have been looking at this site since February and have not joined until now. I too applied to Calhoun for the part time evening program and received my letter today. I was not accepted. The points cutoff was 167. I had 162! Oh well! I can try again next fall and hopefully will get in. Good luck to all of you. :)

Good luck to you also!! In the packet does it tell what the point cut off is?? I'm still waiting to open mine...

I didn't see any cutoff points in mine.....

VSBlonde, I am so sorry that you didn't get in! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you on Wallace. I heard that their nursing program is great!

Good luck to all of you still waiting!:wink2:

VSBlonde - I heard from a current Calhoun nursing student that this year they are going to do a Spring class as well. I believe 2010 students are going to be required to take an entrance exam - I want to say it was the HESI.

I was accepted into the LPN program. I applied for all three, but was missing two of my biology classes, so I knew my chances for ADN was not good at all. I do not know what the cut off was for the LPN program, but for the ADN evening, the letter said it was 167; for the daytime it was 153. Hope that gives everyone some information.

Good Luck to all & keep in touch :wink2:

Calhoun is admitting a spring class, but the program director told me they were taking the Spring class from the current applicant pool that they are pulling this Fall from. All the students are required to pass HESI along with their classes each semester.

Laura_Ann- if you got a packet, you got in!! Quit stressing out!!

The Alabama Secondary Education something or the other is changing the entrance requirements starting with the Fall 2010 entrance class. It's going to require a higher math than what's acceptable now and some other things.

yeah, i did...and thanks for the info everyone!
