I took the boards on monday and had alot of infection control, but didn't run into that situation. Personally I would just stick with what you know respirator for airborne, mask for droplet, and gown and gloves for contact. Let's say some one has Hep b you want them to have disposable utensils.Good Luck If you know spiderman and my chicken has TB you will be fine!!!
I just made a thread about this not too long ago. I ran into practice questions in the Kaplan strategy book(I didn't do the class), and the Hurst Practice Nclex(I did take this class), AND the LaCharity book(good book)...all 3 had a droplet pracaution question or two, and asked what PPE to wear. They all said mask PLUS gown and gloves...remember droplet is a form of contact.

I know about mask and gloves, but is a gown worn for airborne and droplet precautions? Also, when a patient tray is brought into the room are the utensils and plates supposed to be disposable?
