Hello, does anyone have any information regarding the AF NTP boards. I was going to submit my package for qualified AF Nurse. I am prior service AFR NC Captian. Currently certified in ACLS, PALS, and BLS; working in a clinic instead of a hospital and was told that could not apply as fully qualified. The AF just had the NTP boards so now I have to wait until next year to apply.

Make sure you have some kind of leadership exposure. It always seems to come up in the application essays and in the interviews. It can include teaching, charge nurse, relief supervisor, or leading a process improvement project.

Work on your fitness. I would have already done a mock AF PT test on your own by the time you interview. By then, you should be at the point where you are able to get a 90% on it. You can google the requirements for your age group. Sometimes they ask how committed you are to fitness. Being able to say you already got a 90% is a great answer.
