Hello, I was hoping to see if any one out there who come into the Air Force through the NTP program and did the bonus and loan repayment (6 commitment) and went on to do the ICU fellowship? Basically, I was wanting to find out how long you had to wait before applying to the fellowship and if you are planning on doing the CRNA route?

That route is so tedious. I'm part of the way there myself, and about to apply for the ICU fellowship.

In the AF as a new grad, it will take 2-3 years of med-surg, 1 year of ICU fellowship, 6-8 years of ICU nursing (2 mandatory ICU assignments after fellowship), 3 years of a CRNA DNP program. 12-15 years from RN to CRNA. After the DNP, you'll owe roughly 4 more years to pay back CRNA school.

Honestly the military has a great CRNA program (plus free is tempting) but the civvy route seems to be the best way to go. I have many friends who did a year of ICU right after graduation and were in CRNA school by the next fall...

I opted from reserves and started in critical care nursing....
