Aiken Tech ADN Fall 2017 hopefuls?

Published

Anyone here applying in May for the Fall 2017 ADN program or LPN program with Aiken Tech?

*tick tock tick tock* Is it just me or has time slowed down??:geek:

Do you want to call the enrollment center to see if they have a better idea when letters are going to be sent out? I emailed the dept. chair again this morning and I received an automated email back saying she will be out of the office until next monday.

I have actually called twice today and did not get an answer:cry:

Nothing in the mail today ugh!

I didn't get anything either. I hope they were at least sent on Friday or Saturday so we get them this week! This wait is torture.

BAD NEWS!!! I finally got to speak to someone in admissions, they had an unexpected delay on processing the applications and have finally gotten every single one processed, but they now are not going out until next week. She could not tell me why there was a delay but did say that the acceptance letters should be received by next Friday:cry::cry:

Wow seriously!!! Smh well thank you for calling and finding out! We aren't going to have a lot time to get things together to start school! Uughhh

I agree kiara_tram011.....it is going to be very rushed and chaotic :(

I have to agree. If I end up getting accepted, its going to be crazy trying to get everything done. Plus, we will have orientation and classes start within less than a month. On top of that we have to get a TB test, physical, drug screen, start a Hep B vaccine series and that's as much as I know right now. Im sure there is more stuff we will need to get done too that I don't know of.

It is super stressful. It is not like you can just go into a doctors office and have all of that done right on the spot. Not to mention, we have to have background check and fingerprints, buy specific scrubs, shoes, lab coat, patches, watch, and all books & supplies. Plus I will need to be getting my girls ready to start school back :( This year Aiken County public school has changed the schedule, they no longer start on August 16, they will start on August 23. I mention that because usually ATC follows the Aiken County public school schedule so I am hoping that that will be the case now because if not and we start classes on the 16th it will be super difficult to get everything done in time.

Yeah I forget about the background check, hopefully they will help us get the scrubs and stuff like that because I am sure that they need to be monogrammed with their logo or something. Well that is good if they follow the Aiken public school schedule! At least that will give everyone an extra week to get everything done

A friend of mine that got in last semester said that they tell you which brand, color, & style scrubs to buy as well as which style white Nike's, which lab coat and what type of watch you have to have. I believe you purchase the patches at the bookstore and they tell you where they have to be placed on your lab coat. The costs definitely add up.
